Hair hygiene – How to take care of our hair. Hair is a mirror of the health of the human body.
Beautiful, healthy and shiny hair has been considered a human beauty since ancient times! The main conditions for beautiful and healthy hair are a healthy lifestyle, adequate walking in the fresh air, strengthening the body, rational nutrition and care.

Healthy and full-grown hair grows by 10-13 centimeters every month. Hair grows more intensely in warm weather (spring and summer) and at night. With age this process slows down. The thinner, softer and softer the hair, the more sensitive it is and actively responds to the internal state of the body or to the influence of external factors.

Normal-type hair is characterized by elasticity and natural, natural shine. It mainly adorns young and healthy people. Such hair does not need special care. However, it can be periodically rinsed with a diluted solution of nettle, chamomile or cranberry tincture to maintain health and radiance.

Dry type of hair

It looks dull, thin, easily brittle and colorless. 1-2 days after washing is characterized by the development of thin, dry dandruff. The cause of dry hair, easy breakage and increased hair loss, along with improper care, is the frequent exposure to traumatic factors. In particular, the use of alkaline-saturated soap, drying with a layer (hot air), brushing with a rough and poor quality comb, frequent coloring, especially the use of low-quality paints, increased solar activity (so-called sunburn) and more. Under the influence of all the listed factors, the hair structure changes. Dry hair needs proper care. Its frequent bathing is not recommended. When bathing, it is advisable to use cream-shampoos that contain lecithin, vitamin B5, chamomile, mint extract (extract) and other biologically active substances.

Oily type hair

Requires special care like dry hair. Such hair should be washed relatively often. In addition, a perfume should be selected for washing, which reduces the release of fat. Increased hair oiliness can be caused by improperly selected perfume products, as well as functional changes in the system of various organs of the body. Owners of oily hair should soak aloe juice in the roots 10-15 minutes before bathing, and after washing, soak in nettle or oregano broth.

Hair hygiene includes the rules of care, proper brushing and washing

Bathing

The main condition of hair care is bathing. Specialists have long debated how often it is desirable to wash hair; They finally came to the conclusion that this term is individual and in each case, depending on the hair type, depends on its contamination. Some importance is attached to hair length, thickness, work environment and time of year.

It is established that frequent exposure to water dries the hair, so bathing yourself daily is not recommended. The elasticity, elasticity and health of the hair follicles largely depend on the layer of fat secreted by the sebaceous glands of the scalp. During combing, the hair follicles are affected by the secretion of these glands. Lubricant protects the hair from the effects of sunlight, wind and other harmful factors. Frequent bathing fills the sebaceous glands, which affects the structure and other features of the hair follicles. So it would be better to wash your head once in 3-5 days.

The main thing is to wash your hair properly and with quality

Washing hair with boiled water turns out to be recommended. You can add soda, ammonia solution, glycerin, vinegar or borax to the water to soften it. Chlorinated and saline (sea) water coarse the hair. It turns out bathing with very hot water is also not desirable; First of all, hot water activates the sebaceous glands and, consequently, the hair may acquire more oil, and secondly, the soap contained in the shampoo somehow “boils”, drips on the hair and is difficult to wash off. The more oily the hair, the more desirable it is to wash it with cool water. It is best if you pass cold water on your hair after washing and rinsing well. Gives the hair a special shine and texture with an acidic solution (for example, a solution of vinegar or lemon juice).

Pay attention and spend some time on the hair follicles and so on. His massage. The latter improves blood circulation to the scalp, promotes a complete “nutrition and nerve trophism” of the hair follicles, so apply self-massage not only when bathing, but also at other times.

Hair drying method is also very important. It is best to dry your hair with a warm towel and then dry it completely in the air naturally. I do not recommend using a layer because it dries the hair and breaks down its structure.

Brushing

The hair is highly hygroscopic. Water-heavy grooves are easily damaged and broken when brushing. That is why wet hair brushing using force is not allowed at all. The procedure is preferably performed on slightly dry hair, gently combed with brushed teeth. Hair should be brushed at least twice a day. Brush your hair in all directions for 4-5 minutes before going to bed. For this it is better to use an elastic and smooth comb. If you have thick and curly hair, brush slowly from the roots to the edges. This procedure stimulates the hair follicles, improves the function of the scalp and sebaceous glands of the scalp, and also calms the nervous system.

Regular massage of the hair follicles is very useful: move the fingers of both hands in a circular motion from the scalp to the occiput, so that the pads are as close to the skin as possible. Regular and properly performed massage improves blood circulation to the scalp, stimulates hair growth, activates the sebaceous and sebaceous glands, strengthens and makes the hair follicles elastic.

A few recipes for hair care

  • To stimulate hair growth and maintain its health, the following is recommended: Pour 2 tablespoons of finely chopped oregano root in a glass of oil and boil for 3 hours in a water bath. Then cool, pour into a dark-colored bottle and leave for 10 days. Shake the bottle periodically. After the expiration date, drain and massage well into the hair roots 1-2 hours before each wash.
  • Ivy tincture is useful for stimulating hair growth. To do this, pour 4 tablespoons of finely chopped ivy leaf in 0.5 liters of water and boil on low heat for 10 minutes, cool, strain and massage 2-3 times a week for 2 months.
  • Dip one foot into warm paraffin, pausing between layers to allow them to dry. To do this, pre-pour 0.5 liters of boiling water 25-30 sheets (cover) of onion, leave for 15 minutes and strain.
