beneficial properties of bananas

Bananas are a “confusing” fruit.
We know that large amounts of sugar are not good for the body, while bananas are rich in it. In addition, we have heard that it contains a lot of nutrients that a healthy body needs.

Bananas do indeed contain essential micronutrients such as potassium, magnesium, as well as fiber, etc.

It is an ideal food product for those who exercise regularly or are engaged in sports.

Fruit provides energy to the body before exercise, and helps to restore muscle tissue after exercise, as well as balances fluid retention.

However, for some people it is less useful. Bananas contain a relatively large amount of carbohydrates and sugars, it contains almost no protein. Consequently, fruit raises blood sugar levels.

Therefore, it is not recommended for prediabetes, diabetes, insulin-resistance.

Useful properties of bananas

  • Increases energy
  • Contains potassium

Potassium is an important substance for the body. It acts as an electrolyte. Regulates the level of hydration in the body, as well as blood circulation.

Potassium is useful for the prevention of high blood pressure, which reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke.

It is beneficial for those who have received physical trauma as potassium helps to heal and strengthen muscles.

It is also useful for muscle cramps.

  • Improves the digestive system

Each banana contains 3 grams of fiber. It helps prevent constipation, obesity and symptoms caused by digestive problems.

The fiber in bananas helps maintain regular bowel functions.

It binds to wastes and toxins in the digestive tract and frees us from them.

  • Improves mood

Bananas contain the amino acid tryptophan, which is needed for the production of serotonin (the hormone of happiness).
Serotonin levels determine our energy and mood. Bananas can really help you avoid anxiety and stress.

It also contains antioxidants that stimulate the release of another mood-boosting hormone dopamine in the brain.

  • Magnesium source

Bananas are an excellent source of magnesium.
We need micronutrients to maintain healthy skin and a strong skeletal structure. It promotes the proper functioning of the brain, as well as protects free radicals from damage.

Studies show that magnesium plays an important role in the healthy functioning of the brain, and it can also help prevent Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy.

Some research also confirms that magnesium helps increase bone mineral density, which helps prevent osteoporosis.

It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action, thus preventing free radical damage and oxidative stress.

  • Improves kidney function

According to research, eating bananas regularly can maintain kidney function and prevent kidney disease.
Enriching the diet with large amounts of bananas is associated with a reduced risk of developing kidney cancer.

However, if you already have kidney disease, or a high content of potassium in the body, bananas are harmful to you.

These are the basic beneficial properties of bananas that we need to know.
